Maggie’s Farm Nominated by USA Today for Best Craft Rum Distillery

rumMaggie’s Farm Rum, also known as Allegheny Distilling, has been doing two things since opening its doors: producing kick-ass rum and winning awards because of it.

Owner and Distiller Tim Russell has been racking up the accolades since 2014 and has become the first producer of a commercially-available craft rum in Pennsylvania since Prohibition. All of Maggie’s Farm products are distilled from scratch on their Spanish-made copper pot still located in Pittsburgh’s Strip District. Maggie’s also has a tasting room in the same location where you can enjoy various cocktails featuring their award-winning spirits.

This week, Maggie’s Farm received more recognition when they were nominated by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award panel as a contender for Best Craft Rum Distillery in America. Their experts named Maggie’s along with 19 other craft rum distilleries nationwide and you have an opportunity to vote this local brand as the best in the United States.
