Win Two Tickets to Rivertowne’s Hibernation Party

2017 is here, and with it comes one of my favorite beer months of the year. Pretty soon, Troegs Nugget Nectar, Fat Head’s Hop Juju, and Bell’s HopSlam will be available for me…ahem, us, to buy and drink the hell out of. And, January in Pittsburgh means we’ve got two barrel-aged beer festivals on the calendar that will be ridiculously awesome.

rt-barrelsEast End Brewing and Wigle Whiskey will be hosting the third annual Good Wood Festival on Saturday, January 21st (I’ll be in the house recording an episode of Over a Couple of Beers, so feel free to drop by and say hello) and Rivertowne Brewing is hosting their annual Hibernation Party on Saturday, January 28th starting at 10:00am.

The Hibernation Party is one of the most fun events around…which is probably why they make you wait less than a month from the start of the year to enjoy it. You’ll have an opportunity to purchase some rare beauties at this event, including vintage bottles of Bourbon Barrel Aged All Aboard Stout from 2013 and 2014, as well as The Departed Barleywine from 2014. There will also be 10+ unique beers from Rivertowne’s Brew Master’s Reserve Small Batch and Lab Rat Series.

Other beers scheduled to be on-hand include:

  • Nitro All Aboard Stout
  • Bourbon Maple Scottish
  • Barrel Aged All Aboard Stout
  • Barrel Aged Rudolphs Red
  • Grape and Grain
  • Apple Sour
  • Wood Aged Headless Wylie
  • Wood Aged Schloppy Monster
  • plus more…

Rivertowne just started up a giveaway on their Facebook Page today and you can enter to win two tickets to the event! Go participate and get ready for one solid month of craft beer excellence in the Pittsburgh region!
