Recon Brewing Plans Soft Opening Friday, Saturday Night This Weekend
The population of Pittsburgh breweries continues to climb. This Memorial Day Weekend, Recon Brewing in Butler officially opens its doors and pours its first beers to the public. The party gets underway starting Friday, May 26th with day one of their soft opening from 5:00pm – 9:00pm. On Saturday the 27th, it’s lather, rinse, repeat as Recon once again invites you to join them for day two from 5:00pm – 9:00pm.
The Recon crew will kick things off with five of their own beers on tap for your enjoyment. They experienced a three-month delay in the arrival of their brewing system and are still working hard to get it fully operational. To supplement the remaining taps, Recon will also be pouring beverages from Levity Brewing, Blue Canoe Brewery, Noble Stein Brewing, and Arsenal Cider. In addition, they’ll have food on hand. All told, this is one damn fine way to kick off your Memorial Day Weekend.
Recon is the latest to join a blossoming craft beer scene in the Butler region. They’ll be joining Reclamation Brewing, Butler Brew Works, and Cellar Works Brewing. Missing Links Brewery is the next craft brewery scheduled to open in the Butler area in the near future. If you’d like to experience all of these, as well other great breweries from across the Pittsburgh region, you should check out Reclamation’s inaugural Downtown Butler Beer Fest on Saturday, June 24th.
