Let’s Get Briney with Pittsburgh Pickle Co.

What’s a good Bloody Mary in the morning without a pickle?

This is something our friends at Pittsburgh Pickle Company take seriously. That’s why they’ve taken things to the next level and introduced a complete Bloody Mary mix containing the brine that makes their pickles some of the best in the Steel City.

Briney Mary is a full Bloody Mary mix consisting of tomato juice, worcestershire sauce, horseradish root, salt, spices, cane sugar, and, as I mentioned before, Pittsburgh Pickle brine. Packaged in 32oz. bottles, this mix was featured in The BeerHive’s (Pittsburgh Pickle Company’s sister business) award-winning Bloody Mary offering at the Bloodys & Brunch Bloody Mary Competition held back in May. The BeerHive won the fan vote for Best Bloody Mary in the competition.

Currently, Briney Mary has no official sales outlets. Pittsburgh Pickle Co. will have it for sale at Picklesburgh 2018 July 20-22 on the Roberto Clemente Bridge. It will also be on sale at The BeerHive before and after Picklesburgh and they’re also looking to have it available at Giant Eagle Market District locations in the near future.

Pittsburgh Pickle Company was founded in 2014 by the brother trio of John Patterson, Will Patterson, and Joe Robl. They first began working together when they opened The BeerHive in the Strip District in May of 2011, bringing quality craft beer and pub fare to one of the busiest parts of town. When it comes to their pickles, they focus on what each of them likes and doesn’t like about one of America’s favorite garnishes. This has allowed them to perfect their original recipe and bring to market some of the tastiest pickles around.
