PCBW Is Back to Celebrate Its 5th Anniversary

pcbwPittsburgh Craft Beer Week 2016 is rapidly approaching and our city’s annual celebration of all things beer is primed for another successful year. This year’s event will unfold officially on Friday, April 15th and run wild until Sunday, April 24th. But unofficially, a couple craft beer destinations in the ‘Burgh are getting the party started early.

Caliente Pizza & Draft House’s two locations in Bloomfield and Hampton Township will be hoppin’ all week long with over 30 events scheduled across both spots throughout PCBW. They are throwing the first event of the week with the release of their latest collaboration beer brewed with Hop Farm Brewing. This tasty Elderberry Hibiscus Saison, named Respect Your Elderberries, will be tapped Wednesday, April 13th at 7:00pm at Caliente Bloomfield and be available throughout PCBW at Hop Farm and both Caliente locales.

Caliente is keeping things going Thursday the 14th as well with their collaboration release party at the Hampton location starting at 6:00pm and a PCBW Pre-Party with Deschutes Brewery in Bloomfield at 7:00pm.

Rock Bottom Brewery & Restaurant in The Waterfront is also getting into the pre-game action with a kickoff party of their own starting at 6:00pm on Thursday the 14th as well. This event will feature beer samples on the patio throughout the night from several breweries across the region, including the first tapping of Rock Bottom’s special PCBW collaboration beer brewed with Carson Street Deli. These two also teamed up for a special collaboration sandwich you’ll be able to sample as well.

PCBW CollaborationsPittsburgh Craft Beer Week will feature 300+ events at more than 90 locations throughout the region. In addition, many local breweries joined forces to continue the tradition of brewing one-off collaboration beers for PCBW. Look for those beers at various craft beer hotspots all week long and beyond.
