The one and only Garrett Oliver, Brewmaster at Brooklyn Brewery, author, and well-known craft beer personality is heading to Pittsburgh. He will be part of a special event at Hough’s Taproom & Brewpub in Greenfield on Tuesday, June 28th. You’ll have an opportunity to mingle with Garrett, receive a special beer lesson at the Copper Kettle, sample new, unique Brooklyn beers, and snag an autographed copy of Garrett’s new book, The Oxford Companion to Beer.
There are two sessions available for the event. VIP session runs from 6:00pm – 7:30pm and General Admission begins at 7:30pm and goes until 9:00pm. A special autograph signing will take place from 9:00 to 9:30pm. Once General Admission begins, all attendees will taste an assortment of samples from various years from the Brooklyn Black Ops series, plus limited quantities of the Brooklyn Quarterly Experiments paired with a Q&A hosted by Garrett. Dine on a buffet of meats and cheeses and partake in special giveaways throughout the evening, too.
Garrett Oliver is widely known for his debonair personal style, his elegant lectures on the history of beer and the art of brewing, and his extensive knowledge of movies and literature. He serves as the brewmaster of Brooklyn Brewery, editor-in-chief of the aforementioned The Oxford Companion to Beer, author of The Brewmaster’s Table and winner of the 2014 James Beard Award for Excellent Wine, Beer or Spirits Professional.
