Insurrection AleWorks: Now OPEN For Business
After months of anticipation, lots of preparation, and the usual obstacles that make tentative opening dates just that, Insurrection AleWorks is now pouring craft beer in Heidelberg. They represent the newest member of the Pittsburgh craft beer family and are set to offer quality beer and food to enthusiasts all across the region.
Brad Primozic and Matt Messer, the two partners behind Insurrection, have been serving their beers at 3 Rivers Six Pack in Delmont while construction took place at their new brewpub. They brew on a 3.5-barrel brewing system and specialize in a spectrum of beers that run the gauntlet from hoppy to sour. Expect to find a steady offering of saisons, wild ales, sour and hoppy brews up for grabs when you step into their taproom, a space that will comfortably hold approximately 40 people. For those looking to shake things up, Pennsylvania wines will also be available.
Food offerings will feature charcuterie and cheeses sold a la carte, as well as appetizers, macaroni and cheese, and sandwiches.
Being out of town for Thanksgiving, I was unable to attend the grand opening. But Insurrection is on my radar to check out in the upcoming week. Stay tuned for a more detailed feature coming soon.
Welcome to the family, Insurrection AleWorks!
