Today’s Short Pour is all about connecting you to information about barleywine. Why? Because Pittsburgh’s most insane barleywine festival is just a few weeks away and you need to be part of the show!
Kelly’s Bar and Lounge in East Liberty is back with the 12th Annual Hell With The Lid Off Barleywine Festival on Saturday, March 5th. The bar will be closed for regular business that day in order to host a killer party chock-full of an enormous variety of barleywines both past and present. They’ll be delivered to you on tap, flights, and vertical flights that allow you to experience the same beer from a succession of years. In addition, Kelly’s will have a nice spread of food to ensure your belly stays full as you sample high-test beers during one of the two 3-hour sessions.
You can choose to attend the afternoon session from 1:00pm – 4:00pm, the evening session from 5:00pm – 8:00pm, or go barleywine crazy and snag tickets to both!
Secure your tickets by clicking here. Do so quickly because they are sure to sell out.
Below are some links of importance to help familiarize yourself with the event and barleywine in general. Also, a link to zTrip, the Official Rideshare Program of the Pittsburgh Craft Beer Network (trust me, you won’t want to operate anything resembling a car after this event concludes):
