Hal’s Bottle Shop Tapping One of Only TWO Rare SweetWater Firkins TONIGHT!

Hal’s Bottle Shop, located directly next door to Hal’s Bar & Grill in Ross Township, is well-known for having a very extensive bottle selection (including some extremely rare finds you won’t locate anywhere else in Pittsburgh) and some of the best service you’ll find. Manager Dan Castriota and the rest of the staff go the extra mile to ensure you leave with beer you’ll be happy with, pretty much guaranteeing you’ll be back to replenish your stock in the future.

SweetWater CaskEvery Thursday, Hal’s Bottle Shop features a brewery either from Pittsburgh or across the globe, with samples and beers tapped for your enjoyment. Helltown, Spoonwood, North Country, Fat Head’s, and Draai Laag are just a handful of the local/regional breweries Hal’s has supported by making their wares available in both the bar and bottle shop, also hosting tap takeovers for these breweries as well.

Tonight, Hal’s is poised to host one of the most epic events up to this point in 2016. This week’s featured brewery is SweetWater Brewing and they are bringin’ the goods. A super rare cask barrel of Old Faithful IPA with black and white peppercorns will be tapped to accompany samples of your favorites from SweetWater. Only TEN of these casks left the SweetWater brewery and TWO of them found their way to Pittsburgh. Also, SweetWater Pulled Porter bottles will be released, too (Hal’s got 1 of the 5 cases that made it to Pittsburgh).

There are only 85 tickets being pre-sold so you can get your hands on a draft from the cask and those tickets go on sale starting at 6:00pm. The crew at Hal’s is also giving a sneak preview of their new party room tonight, a space that will be available for the many events the bottle shop holds in the very near future.

This event…well, you don’t want to miss this event.
