Lorelei Prepares For Grand Opening In East Liberty

The much-anticipated grand opening of Lorelei, the latest concept from the crew behind The Independent Brewing Company and Hidden Harbor tiki bar in Squirrel Hill, is upon us. After several weeks of soft hours in preparation, Lorelei is set for its grand opening on Friday, July 27th and Saturday, July 28th. The doors open at 5:00pm on Friday with DJ MB ready to drop some beats and 12:00pm on Saturday to ensure your day-drinking obligations are fulfilled.

The new bar will focus on traditional lagers and ales – the beers that helped you fall in love with beer in the first place – from numerous beer hotbeds across the globe, as well as wine, cocktails, cuisine courtesy of Executive Chef Jamilka Borges, and delicious desserts from Pastry Chef Dianne DeStefano.

The grand opening festivities will feature fresh, unfiltered gravity kegs on both days. Gravity kegs deliver beer in its most traditional fashion – unfiltered and unpasteurized, dispensed sans artificial pressure or preservation. This was the only way beer was enjoyed until refrigeration hit the scene and only a small handful of destinations in Pittsburgh offer beer in this capacity. In addition, new Alpine wines and Alpine-influenced cocktails will make their debut throughout the weekend. No reservations needed.

Pittsburgh’s adult beverage destination count is about to go up by one. Don’t miss the fun as Lorelei becomes part of our city’s thriving libations scene!

Lorelei is located at 124 South Highland Avenue in the East Liberty neighborhood. Get updates from Lorelei via their website and Like their Facebook Page today.
