Beer, Wine, Food, Bowling…All In One AWESOME Place
It happens quite often. And every time it does, Pittsburgh’s adult beverage scene gets a little more bad ass.
That’s right, our local brewery population officially goes up by one as Enix Brewing Company joins the party and adds another destination to the Steel City’s thriving beer landscape. The soft opening festivities begin today, August 22nd, at 4:00pm and will introduce a locale featuring a variety of craft beer, a lineup of Italian and Spanish wines, and a full kitchen with a menu boasting numerous items with international intrigue courtesy of Executive Chef Sean Skerrette.
The brewery is located in what was formerly the residence of Levine Brothers Hardware on the main thoroughfare in Homestead and represents the third brewery spearheaded by Master Brewer David Rodriguez and his brother, Victor. The duo are also behind Fabrica Maravillas and Mad Brewing, both in Madrid. The name ‘Enix,’ pronounced Eh-nix, was inspired by the street that Rodriguez’s grandfather grew up on in his native Spain before moving his family to the United States during the Spanish Civil War.
Enix boasts a 15-barrel brewhouse that will feed fresh liquid to 12 rotating taps once their destination is fully open. Rodriguez will be focusing on traditional styles, including belgians, stouts, and French saisons. The beverage menu will also feature international wines and vermouths, a spirit often served neat in Spain, as well as many other local and national spirits.
A large patio will allow for outdoor adult beverage enjoyment with plenty of live music and entertainment set to be part of the Enix Brewing culture. Plus, a renovated 8-lane bowling alley on the top floor of the building will be open to the public for those who love to be threatened with a good time. A full bar with an abbreviated tap list will be part of the bowling experience, making it easy to refill after showing your friends how the sport is played. Enix is also kid-friendly and will have a play area for kids to mingle and network.
Welcome to the party, Enix Brewing!
