Food Truck Throwdown to Support HCEF Goes Down Thursday
The Homeless Children’s Education Fund (HCEF) is joining forces with Voodoo Brewery to host a great evening of fun, food, beers, and fundraising this Thursday night. The event, dubbed The Food Truck Throwdown, will unfold July 28th at The Priory Hotel on Pittsburgh’s North Shore. You will be treated to great craft beers from Voodoo’s Homestead pub paired with food from several of your favorite Pittsburgh food trucks and a DJ spinning great tunes.
In Allegheny County, there are over 3,000 children experiencing homelessness. The mission of HCEF is to advance the education of these unfortunate children throughout our region.
“This event is awesome,” Voodoo Co-Owner Jake Voelker stated. “It’s a totally different craft beer vibe and the HCEF is a great cause to support.”
The beers Voodoo will be featuring are Gran Met, Wynona’s Big Brown Ale, Hoodoo IPA, and Voodoo Love Child.
La Playa and BullDawgs will be in the house along side a few other trucks to ensure your belly leaves full.
VIP Tickets are $50 and get you in the door from an hour early starting at 5:30pm. This will give you a VIP one-to-one session with the Voodoo brewers, four Voodoo beer tastings, and a Food Passport voucher for your dinner. General admission tickets are $30 and get you in the door at 6:30 with access to the four Voodoo Beer Tastings. Any food you wish to purchase will be extra. There is also a Designated Driver ticket for $15 that gives you a Food Passport voucher.
