Cobblehaus’ First Sampling, Good Wood Beer Fest, and Rivertowne Hibernation Party

So much to get you caught up on today, I had to send a tripleheader Short Pour your way! Here’s some news and info from the Pittsburgh craft beer scene to bring you up to speed:

Cobblehaus Brewing

Cobblehaus Brewing in Coraopolis has been making great strides towards its grand opening and will be hosting their first-ever sampling session this Saturday, December 3rd from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the brewery! The sampling will coincide with Coraopolis Light Up Night. This is a great opportunity to check out what they have in store for the Pittsburgh beer community. Plus, as an added bonus, they’ll have several items available for sale that will make great Christmas gifts. Click here to get all the info from their newsletter.

The 3rd Annual Good Wood Barrel Aged Beer Fest

East End Brewing and Wigle Whiskey are back with the 3rd Annual Good Wood Barrel Aged Beer Fest on Saturday, January 21st from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the East End brewery in Larimer. 16 local breweries will be on hand showcasing their barrel-aged wares, Wigle will have whiskey samples, and Proper Brick Oven’s food truck will be slingin’ pizzas to keep your belly full. This event was an absolute blast last year and more of the same should be in order for 2017. Click here to get more info and reserve your tickets today.

Rivertowne Brewing’s Hibernation Party

More barrel-aged goodness is on tap at Rivertowne Brewing as they throw their annual Hibernation Party on Saturday, January 28th from 10:00am-3:00pm at their Export production brewery. Several barrels will be broken open, one-offs and experimental beers will be flowing, and food will be provided as well. Games, live music, and an excessive amount of high fives and good times will round out this annual Rivertowne tradition. Click here to grab your tickets before they sell out!

BONUS: Brew’s Indiegogo Campaign Still Going Strong

BREW: The Museum of Beer’s Indiegogo campaign is running through mid-December! If you haven’t taken an opportunity to check out this project, click here and become part of the movement to bring the story of beer to Pittsburgh.
