Help Make BREW: The Museum of Beer A Reality

In case the news slipped passed you, Pittsburgh has become one damn fine beer town. Beer options for miles, new breweries opening up left and right, an unbelievably talented crop of brewers, and a rabid craft beer fan base eager for the next big beer to hit their pint glasses.

And soon, with your help, Pittsburgh will be home to America’s first-ever beer museum!

In August, news began to break about plans for Brew: The Museum of Beer setting up shop right here in town. Today, with a ton of support from the Pittsburgh community and from outlets across the country, Brew is officially off and running and their Indiegogo campaign is live.

The Brew crew kicked things off with a very epic launch party last evening at James Street Gastropub & Speakeasy in the North Side, showcasing their plans to build a destination for beer similar to what Cleveland built for rock and roll. Guest speakers including Brewology author and illustrator Mark Brewer, East End Brewing Company owner Scott Smith, and more proclaimed their support for the museum idea and further validated reasons why Brew will be an important factor in the beer community locally and across the globe.

To see the founding steps of Brew come to fruition, they are currently accepting donations through their Indiegogo page. Your generous donation will be vital in bringing the country’s first beer museum to the Pittsburgh community and taking this incredible idea from concept to reality. With craft beer popularity being at an all-time high, a museum illustrating how it got to this point is the perfect addition to our city’s thriving craft beer culture.
