This Saturday from 12:00pm – 2:00am, The BeerHive and Rhinegeist are joining forces to support Mission 22, an organization that is dedicated to raising awareness and preventing veteran suicides. Ali Wyrostek, Rhinegeist’s Pittsburgh sales representative, will be at The BeerHive with members from Mission 22 for the event and $2 from every pint purchased ($1 from Rhinegeist, $1 from BeerHive) will be given to the charity. This presents an excellent opportunity to enjoy good beers and simultaneously support a great cause.
According to a VA study, over 20 veterans take their own lives each day. Mission 22 is dedicated to putting an end to this epidemic by providing programs for veterans struggling with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and other issues plaguing their lives after so courageously fighting for the freedoms we enjoy today. Your donations are used to give veterans the help they need immediately…meaning you could truly help save the life of someone who risked theirs for our country.
Beers from the Rhinegeist portfolio that will be tapped for this event include Press Tart Berliner Weisse, Truth IPA, Penguin Stout, and Valor California Common. The beers start pouring at 12:00pm. You’ll also be able to pay a veteran a pint forward, write a postcard to troops currently stationed overseas, and raise a glass to all the brave men and women who put themselves in harm’s way in the name of our safety each and every day.
