Maggie’s Farm Rum Nominated TWICE As One of USA Today’s 10 Best Distilleries

A special announcement from Maggie’s Farm Rum…
Last year, Pittsburgh’s own Allegheny Distilling was nominated as one of America’s “10 Best” by USA Today, eventually finishing 2nd in overall voting:
As you can see below, I’ve just received word that we were once again nominated by USA Today as one of the best distilleries in America for its Maggie’s Farm rums. And thanks to our awards for our new line of specialty liqueurs, including coffee and falernum, both Best-in-Class winners from the American Distilling Institute, we’ve also been recognized as one of the country’s best specialty spirits distillers. USA Today is now running a contest to find the best distillery in each category, running through September 11th. Folks can vote once each and every day throughout. 

Please help us in bringing this honor back to Pittsburgh.
Allegheny Distilling, LLC, located in Pittsburgh’s historic Strip District, was incorporated in late 2012 and began production of Maggie’s Farm Rum in October of 2013. Maggie’s Farm opened it’s cocktail bar in the distillery in January of 2014 and has arguably become the most awarded rum distillery in America in that time period. Maggie’s Farm Rum is the first commercially available Pennsylvania-made craft rum since Prohibition. All spirits are made from scratch from the fermentation of American-grown raw sugar cane and pot-distilled for full body and flavor on the Spanish-made copper still located behind the distillery’s cocktail bar. The distillery is open for tastings and bottle sales Wednesday through Sunday and serves cocktails Thursday evenings 4-10pm, Friday and Saturdays from 12-10pm, and Sunday 12-4pm.
